Since 1999, we have installed over 35 Thermo Scientific Aquakem systems and we are the complete market leader in this field. As a response to customer requests, Precision® reagents were developed to provide ‘ready to use’ reagents for the discrete water chemistry analyser.

Today Precision® reagents are the most widely used brand worldwide for this application.

	ThermoScientific manufacture Aquakem, an innovative range of analysers, specially developed for the precise analysis of water and environmental samples. The Aquakem 250 achieves rates of 250 tests/hour, while the Aquakem 600 achieves rates of 600 tests/hour. Types of matrices analysed include clean water, wastewater, and soil / sludge digests. Nutrient analysis includes ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, TON, chloride, and sulphate. An added option is a cadmium reduction module for nitrite analysis. Offering the ultimate in performance Aquakem has been designed for minimum reagent consumption and low operating costs. The unique low volume multicell cuvette provides true discrete analysis virtually eliminating carryover. Typical total reaction volumes of between 100ml & 200ml per test mean extremely low reagent costs. New samples and fresh reagents can be loaded at any time without interrupting ongoing analysis Aquakem applications include Ammonia, Alkalinity, Aluminium, Boron, Calcium, Chloride, Chromium VI, Cyanide (post distillation), Total Iron, Ferrous Iron, Magnesium, Nitrate, Nitrite, ortho-Phosphate, total Phosphate (post digestion), Silica, Sulphate, Thiocyanate, Total Hardness, T.K.N. (post digestion), Total Oxidised Nitrogen.

	The Precision® range of reagents has been designed for use on the Aquakem range of automated photometric analysers used in water and environmental laboratories. The current range of reagents include - TON Nitrite Ammonia Phosphate Sulphate Chloride Chromium VI Alkalinity Hardness A wide range of Standards are also available. The formulations are based on those outlined in either the ‘Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater (APHA, AWWA, WEF) or UK Blue Book Methods for the Examination of Waters & Associated Materials (HMSO). To facilitate Good Laboratory Practice, reagents are supplied with a detailed Certificate of Performance, and bar-coded labels. The reagents are manufactured under ISO 9001:2008.
